Carol Dweck

I have never heard of Carol Dweck growth mindset before. This is my first time hearing about this and after watching videos that was given to us. I've got a better understanding on this topic.
I see myself on the spectrum of fixed mindset as i believe in basic qualities, like my intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. I spend my time documenting instead of developing more intelligence or talents. I believe that talent alone creates success without effort. I was wrong.
Now i believe that my most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.

These are my ways develop a growth mindset :

View challenges as opportunities.
Try different learning tactics.
Replace the word “failing” with the word “learning.”

- Value the process over the end result.- Celebrate growth with others.- Place effort before talent.

- Use the word “yet.”

Dweck says “not yet” has become one of her favourite phrases. Whenever you see students struggling with a task, just tell them they haven’t mastered it yet.

Learn from other people’s mistakes.

Biggest Challenge

My biggest challenge as a student was being the student! Sitting through the conventional lectures was sometimes difficult. My mind and body were always going and I couldn't wait to get out of my seat, move around, share my thoughts, and interact with my peers. I handled it by focusing all my energy into my listening and note taking. It helped keep my mind busy and my body moving, and I also left with some great notes.

Learning Goals

Going to class, taking notes, and starting to absorb and become familiar with the material there is a key step that will help facilitate better studying. If i skip classes a lot, i'll be forced to teach yourself the information and learn on my own, which means when i could be reviewing my notes and studying, i'll only be learning the material for the first time.

Get plenty of Sleep. Rather than staying up super late cramming for an exam, make a goal to plan my studying schedule ahead so i can still get 6-8 hours of sleep the night before my test. Being well-rested and getting enough sleep allows the information you studied to sink in, which will enable me to perform better on my exams.

Workshop 01

                                           Traffic Lights

Topic

Traffic lights, also known as traffic signals, traffic lamps, traffic semaphore, signal lights, stop lights, robots, and traffic control signals, are signalling devices positioned at road intersections, pedestrian crossings, and other locations to control flows of traffic.

Rather than timers, "smart" or "intelligent" sensor-based traffic signals rely upon a system of sensors to detect when vehicles are present. When a vehicle on a side road arrives at the intersection, a sensor will detect it and cycle the lights to allow traffic on the side road to pass through.

Traffic lights are sometimes centrally controlled by monitors or by computers to allow them to be coordinated in real time to deal with changing traffic patterns. Video cameras, or sensors buried in the pavement can be used to monitor traffic patterns across a city. Increasing the traffic handling capacity of roads.

Reflection

They help movement and help conduct an orderly flow by giving right of way to some cars and not others. They not only make car traffic a lot safer but also pedestrian traffic. They help reduce the number of accidents and make collisions at intersections a lot less frequent.

Favourite Game

                                          Mobile Legends

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game designed for mobile phones (but also can be played on the PC with an Android/iOS emulator). The two opposing teams fight to reach and destroy the enemy's base while defending their own base for control of a path, the three "lanes" known as "top", "middle" and "bottom", which connects the bases.
In each team, there are five players who each control an avatar, known as a "hero", from their own device. Weaker computer-controlled characters, called "minions", spawn at team bases and follow the three lanes to the opposite team's base, fighting enemies and turrets.

The game is similar to League of Legends.
